These earphones are a pair of wireless Bluetooth Marsee MSH04 earphones. The box they were packaged in is a simple brown box with the brand logo in black on the one side.
- 1 pair of Marsee MSH04 Wireless Bluetooth Earphones
- 1 USB charging cable
- 3 pairs of silicon earbuds (different sizes)
- 1 Carry bag
- Instruction manual
The earphones are a black and grey design with black and red earbuds. The USB charging connection you will find located on the left earphone. The control system is located on the right. You get 3 pairs of earbuds that are different sizes. The wire is made of a flexible memory wire that stays in the shape of your choice. This is to provide the best comfortable and secure fit. This memory wire is also provided over the ear so you can tighten or loosen the fit around your ear. They also have a small cable clip which you can slide up and down the wire to get the best fit. When powering the earphones on and off, pairing and connected with your Bluetooth device and when the battery is low, there are voice prompts which plainly tell you when it is on/off/pairing/connected/low battery.
The earphones connect to your mobile device through Bluetooth and is easily paired to your device. The instruction manual tells you exactly how to do it. You must have Bluetooth enabled on your mobile device and ready to pair. Hold the power button and to power on and hold the same button again until it prompts that you are ‘pairing’. Select the device for the Bluetooth pairing list, which should show up as ‘MARSEE Rugged MSH04‘. When the earphones are paired with the device, you will get a voice prompt of ‘connected’.
The control system is pretty self-explanatory, which I like. There is a small LED light (which lights red or blue) and then 3 small buttons. The centre button (which has an O symbol on it) is the multi-function button which turns the earphones on and off, as well as pairing with your mobile device and play and pause the songs. You can also answer and hang-up calls with that button. The buttons either side of the multi-function button are the volume controls. Again, pretty self-explanatory, the button with the + symbol is the volume up button and the – button is the volume down button.
In terms of the battery, I think this has a pretty good battery life. For a full charge, you can get up to 8 hours of battery life for listening to music/talking. This roughly works out as up to 450 hours on standby. The range of Bluetooth functionality that you can get on these earphones is also great, with a range of up 33 feet.
What is more important with a pair of earphones than the sound quality and the good thing about these is that the sound quality is amazing! I would have expected a small loss in quality considering the fact that they are connected by Bluetooth but it is better quality that some standard earphones! I also like the fact that they are noise-cancelling.
The USB charging cable is quite short, which is roughly 14 inches long and is a normal phone charger connection. This helps with if the USB cable provided gets damaged or lost, it can be easily replaced.
The carry bag is a small drawstring bag with the Marsee logo on the front, which I assume is made of a waterproof material similar to waterproof jackets.
All in all, these are a great pair of earphones and perfect for anyone that loves listening to music while they are exercising/running. I’m definitely handing these over to Mr J for when he does his weight training. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m sure Mr J will try to see if these will connect with his PS4 for when we are online gaming.
