I bought these Excelvan Touch Body Fat Scales recently. Considering that Mr J and I will be embarking on our fitness and weight loss plan very soon and our current scales on their way out, I thought it was a great time to get a new set and these fit perfectly to what we both wanted.
The scales are made of 6mm black, tempered glass with chrome precision sensors. There is the touch screen element with the three touch buttons for altering and confirming settings. Along with these, you will find the digital screen, which lights up blue when in use. Set up is really simple; it’s a case of setting your gender, height, weight and age on your profile and you’re ready to go. You can also program in and store information for up to 10 users!
The scales have a multitude of functions which measure weight, body fat, bone, water, muscle, calories and BMI. When you step on the scales they calculate your weight and then it takes another couple of seconds to calculate all the other and then it cycles through each value. Each value is calculated using BIA which is bioelectrical impedance analysis. This means that for accurate measurements the BIA algorithms are used taking the users age, height, gender and weight into account.
The scales require 3 AAA batteries, which are installed into the compartment on the back of the scales. The scales are roughly 12 inches square and are roughly an inch high off the floor and have a weight capacity of 400 lb (180 kg). Weight units available for measurements are kilograms (kg), pounds (lb) and stones (st). The LCD screen is roughly 3 inches x 1.5 inches in size.
The scales also host a low battery and a weight overload indicator and also turns itself off after use. As with all scales, they are best used on a hard, flat surface such as tiles etc.
These scales are perfect for what we want to use them for. They are sturdy, they work brilliantly and they look fantastic too. I would definitely recommend them.
The Excelvan Touch Body Fat Scales are currently on sale at Amazon UK for £16.99 with a RRP of £34.99.
