These earphones are a pair of Aukey wireless Bluetooth earphones, attached to a neckband. This makes them a great idea to have during exercising. The box they were packaged in is a simple brown box with the brand logo and information in black on the one side.
Whats included in the box:
- 1 pair of Aukey EP-B20 Wireless Bluetooth Earphones
- 1 USB charging cable
- 3 pairs of silicon ear buds (different sizes)
- Instruction manual and warranty card.
The earphones are a completely black design. The USB charging connection you will find located on the right of the neckband. Also on the right on the neckband there is the previous/next song controls and the play/pause button. On the left of the neckband you will find the on/off switch, microphone, charging LED light, the call button and the volume up and down controls.
You get 3 pairs of ear buds that are different sizes; one size is already attached. The earpieces are magnetically held in place in the small indents at each end of the neckband. There are two pieces of moveable plastic in order to hold the wires out-of-the-way.
When powering the earphones on and off, pairing and connected with your Bluetooth device and when the battery is low, there are voice prompts which plainly tell you when it is on/off/pairing/connected/disconnected/low battery.
The earphones connect to your mobile device through Bluetooth and is easily paired to your device. The instruction manual tells you exactly how to do it. You must have Bluetooth enabled on your mobile device and ready to pair. Switch the ON/OFF switch to ON. The earphones will automatically prepare to pair. Select the device for the Bluetooth pairing list, which should show up as ‘AUKEY EP-B20‘. When the earphones are paired with the device, you will get a voice prompt of ‘connected‘.
It may get a bit awkward to remember where the controls are when wearing the neckband, but I’m sure that it is something you will get used to.
There is a CALL button on the earphones which allows you to answer and hang-up calls. What else is a plus with this call button is that you can make calls with it too. If you press the button it will come up to voice dial. Just read the name or number of who you wish to call and then say ‘OK‘ when prompted.
In terms of the battery, I think this has a pretty good battery life. For a full charge, you can get up to 15 hours of battery life for listening to music/talking. This roughly works out as up to 300 hours on standby. The range of Bluetooth functionality that you can get on these earphones is also great, with a range of up 33 feet (10 metres). A small LED lights up red when the earphones are charging. They do have good noise cancellation.
What is more important with a pair of earphones than the sound quality and the good thing about these is that the sound quality is amazing! I would have expected a small loss in quality considering the fact that they are connected by Bluetooth but it is better quality than some standard earphones! When altering the volume, you also get a voice prompt when you reach maximum volume.
The USB charging cable is roughly 2 foot long and is a normal micro-USB phone charger connection. This helps with if the USB cable provided gets damaged or lost, it can be easily replaced.
All in all, these are a great pair of earphones and perfect for anyone that loves listening to music while they are exercising/running. They are lightweight and have a great amount of functions. The plastic may feel a bit aggrevating after a while. They are sweatproof and durable. Very intuitive.
The Aukey wireless Bluetooth earphones are currently on sale at Amazon UK for £5.99. You get a 24 Month Manufacturer Warranty when you purchase the earphones. This is noted in the manual along with the warranty card.
