Its been a week since my 30th and I’ve finally spent the money that was given to me.
When it comes to spending birthday money, I always have an idea of what I want to get but this time has been so much harder! It was a case of ‘which book shall I get?’ or ‘shall I consider getting supplies for nail polish?’ or even ‘shall I spend it on nail polish from other companies I follow?’
Well, I made the decision to spend it on something for me rather than supplies for my nail polish. Here’s what I got.
Clarinet For Dummies
Seeing as Mr J got me the clarinet and a book for my birthday, I spent some of my birthday money on a couple of new books to go with them and this was one of my first choices. Mr J has one of the ‘For Dummies’ books for his bass and has said how helpful it was to him. I’ve had a flick through and so far it does look so helpful. The techniques differ from the trumpet to the clarinet so I’m hoping to pick up some great tips from this book.
Big Book Of Disney Songs for the Clarinet
The second clarinet book I picked out was this Disney song book. You’re never too old for Disney, right? There’s 72 Disney songs in the book ranging from The Little Mermaid to Winnie The Pooh to the song at Disneyland ‘Its A Small World’. I can’t wait to get stuck in!
Sherlock Box Set
When I first heard about the Sherlock TV series in was a little apprehensive. Mainly because I wasn’t sure how Sherlock would be set in modern-day. I only watched it for the first time this year and I loved it! I’d missed out on this for years before and I wish I’d watched it when it first started. Benedict Cumberbatch plays an awesome Sherlock and Martin Freeman was great as Doctor Watson. I was waiting until Christmas to have the box set but I just couldn’t resist.
Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age (PS4)
I loved Final Fantasy XII on PS2 years ago and when Mr J told me that it was being remastered and released for the PS4 I wanted it straight away. It’s one of my top 4 Final Fantasy games; the others being X, XIII and XV. I’m excited to get stuck back into the Final Fantasy world.
Tube of cork grease
My clarinet came with a small pot with a smidgen of cork grease in but I thought it was a good idea to invest in a tube to keep in my clarinet case. Definitely worth it to keep my clarinet in good condition.
