Can you believe we’re already into July!
June was still a pretty busy month. I had a fair few orders of nail polish and I’ve even helped Mr J set up an Instagram account for his art work; if you’re interested it’s @robjonesartist. That being said, I’ve been finding the time to fit in some gaming.
On an extra gaming note for June, what did you all think of the E3 announcements this year? In all honesty, the game teasers for me were great and loved seeing what was coming and seeing these extra peeks at games teased in 2017 but I was a little disappointed in the shows. Mr J and I always look forward to watching the Sony conference and it’s always a show, like when they announced God Of War, but I was a little disappointed in the set up this year. I don’t feel like it really grasped you like I’ve felt previous years. The game I’m most looking forward to… Definitely Kingdom Hearts 3. Along with many others I’m sure, I’ve been waiting so many years for this to be released.
Let me know your thoughts. Anyway, so here’s what I played in June.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana
I have wanted this game since it was first released and I’ve waited almost 2 years to get my hands on it! Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana has been the main story driven game I’ve played in May too. I’ve played a few games in the Ys series such as Ys: Ark Of Napishtim, Ys: Memories of Celceta and Ys: Origin and I have to be honest, this one is by far my favourite! I couldn’t believe it when I found out that the Ys series is 30 years old too and each game has had the main character Adol in them, and that’s who you play as.
The graphics are aesthetically pleasing, you feel like you know the characters, the gameplay is fun and there is a lot of playability to it. I’m so glad that Mr J treated me to it because I love the game.
The Division is one of a handful of games that Mr J and I always go to when we game together or online; the others mostly being Ghost Recon Wildlands and Elder Scrolls Online. We decided to create new agents and start again so as we could play together right from the start of the game instead of me joining in about a year or so later.
What games did you play in June? I’d love to hear from you.
