I have decided to bring another YouTube tag to a written blog version, because the 90s Tag seemed so popular.
This time it’s the Furry Friends Tag, containing 10 questions. I spotted this tag when Mr J was looking through video game and bunny videos on YouTube a couple of days ago and thought it would be a perfect fit (I can’t remember the channel though I’m afraid).
What is your pet’s name?
You all know him. He’s featured on my blog a lot and his name is Fudge.
What kind of pet is it and what breed?
When we got Fudge, all we knew was he was a mixed lop with no clue what breeds were mixed. I did a bit of research which has led me to believe that there is some harlequin bunny in there due to his colouring and fur pattern.
How did you get your pet?
My parents and I conspired to take Mr J to pick him up as a surprise. He’s wanted a bunny since he was young and I thought that having a little furry friend might help him with his depression and anxiety. At the time, we thought it was easier to go and see the bunnies at Pets At Home so I could pick up some of the extra bits too (not the hutch as that had been delivered to my parents that morning). We fell in love with Fudge straight away and we were shocked no one else had taken him home because he was so adorable! Out of the bunnies there, Fudge was the one who came out of the little hideaway to see us and he was so inquisitive.
How old is your pet?
We were told Fudge was a few weeks old when we had him so I’d say 2 and a half years now. I’m sure I read on his vaccination certificate that he was born in October 2015.
What is your favourite memory with your pet?
Every day with Fudge are filled with happy memories so how could I pick just one. The first groomings he gave us. The day he showed he loved and trusted us. The first time he jumped up onto our laps. How all 3 of us spend time sitting on the floor together at night while I’m watching my ‘rubbish’ TV programs as Mr J calls them. The first time he gave me what I call his kisses. Everything.
What are some quirky things about your pets personality?
The way he tried to get your attention is quite funny and he’s so inquisitive; he even tried to get in the shopping bags to find what’s for him. There’s so much about his personality that’s quirky but to pick something out I’d have to say how he childishly torments, like he’s trying to play a joke. He keeps trying to jump up on one of the cupboards but it’s one where we keep things out of his way so we tell him no. He then looks at us for a few seconds and then jumps up again and sits on the top staring as if to say “What are you going to do now?”
What does your relationship with your pet mean to you?
Mine and Mr J’s relationship with Fudge means a lot and I mean A LOT. We’ve worked so hard to gain his love and trust. We love him like a son but to know he loves us too is an amazing feeling.
What are some of your favourite past times with your pet?
It may be sad but I love just sitting and watching Fudge go about his daily business. It’s always so adorable! Other than that, I love it when it’s treat time and Fudge gives me nose kisses for his treat.
What are nicknames you call your pet?
He has so many nicknames! To Mr J’s dad he’s rugrat. To us he’s Fudgey, buddy, mate, handsome, Fudgicle, Fudgicorn (when he’s moulting), menace and Gnash Master F.
Don’t forget to leave me the links to your posts and videos in the comments. I’d really love to see them.
