I’m Nikki, a 29 year old housewife from England where I live with my fiancé, Mister J. I’m a qualified chef, philatelist, amateur video gamer, literary enthusiast and bunny mom to Fudge.
Blogging is something that I’ve always been interested in doing but I just never got around to doing. After some amazing encouragement from Mister J, Nikkipedia was born and I’m loving every minute of it! I want to thank each and every one of you for joining me here on this journey.
Nikkipedia is a lifestyle blog where I write about a variety of topics which include philately, gaming, pets, reviews, small businesses, interviews and asthma. I’m hoping to expand the categories that I write about. I want to be able to provide readers with a variety of topics to read, as well as some which may help them and the post I hope has done this so far is my “Living with Asthma” post. I have been asthmatic for many years and this post highlights some of my struggles, triggers and home remedies I use for easing my asthma symptoms.
Where did you get the name “Nikkipedia” you might ask. Well, again that is all thanks to Mister J.
It started as an inside joke. If we’re talking about anything and we want to remember the name of something I’ll be straight onto Google or Wikipedia to find it out, whether Mister J wants to know or not. He always says “Nikkipedia is here again” and the name has just stuck.
A couple of months after Fudge became a member of our family, he took over my blog to post diary entries to share with everyone what he gets up to. This began as a daily diary which then was only published once a week, usually on a Friday.
I was away from the blog for roughly a couple of weeks, so Fudge’s Diary didn’t get posted in that time. Fudge will be posting a diary entry from the date of the last diary to the day that the current one is published and will then be moving back to weekly Friday posting.

March 2016 saw the start of Sunday Showcase, my monthly blog series where I interview small businesses.
I interview owners of small businesses to talk about what they do, how they got started in business, among a variety of other things.
I’ve had questions about why I decided to do this and in all honesty I created the series in the hopes of helping small businesses get their name out there more. Owning my own small business was a dream of mine. I looked into it, even though I didn’t know what to do with my business idea. I would have appreciated the help in a manner such as this if I was in that position, so I wanted to pass that on to business owners.
Please take a look at these and if you’re interested in showcasing your small business here, I’d love to hear from you. You can visit the contact page for info on how to get in touch or contact me via social media if you are interested in a showcase.
